I couldn't get enough of the cute critters stamp set and made another card. I loved how the turtle card looked so I decided to do something similar with the scraps I had left over from that card.

I stamped the image on watercolor paper and colored it with watercolor markers. After that I masked the image and added a watercolor background with Gansai Tambi watercolors. When the image dried I diecut it with a circle die. The oter diecut circles are pieces that I still had from the turtle card so I just had to find a new background paper and adhere everything on my card :). I added a couple of yellow sequins to give it a little bit more interest.

And these sets are not only great to use for bible journaling, but you can use them for cards too. There are just too many options to tell you about, so I'll just show the card I made.

Deze sets zijn niet alleen mooi om te gebruiken in je bijbel maar ook erg leuk voor kaarten. Er zijn zoveel opties te bedenken, maar ik laat gewoon de kaart laat zien die ik heb gemaakt ;).

I made this card with the 'The Lord is risen' stamp set. I used a couple of stamps and colored the flowers and word with distress markers. I have to admit that I tried to die-cut the sentiment but after die-cutting it it wasn't completely centered. So I decided to make it a little bit smaller but... I cut it off a little bit too close to the top of my stamped images so I had to cover up the top part with something ;). That's why I added the flowers on top, but eventually I'm pretty happy with how the card turned out. Even if it wasn't exactly what I imagined it to be.

Voor deze kaart heb ik de set 'The Lord is Risen' gebruikt. Ik heb een paar van de stempels gebruikt om de tekst te maken en de bloemen ingekleurd met distress markers. Ik moet eerlijk zeggen dat ik daarna de tekst had uitgestansd, maar toen was hij niet meer mooi gecentreerd... dus ik heb er nog maar wat afgesneden om het weer recht te krijgen. Het enige probleem was dat de bovenkant iets tever afgesneden was dus daarom heb ik de bloemetjes er maar bovenop gedaan. Ondanks dat het niet is geworden wat ik in gedachten had ben ik er toch blij mee.

Ik heb het stukje met de tekst op een roze achtergrond geplakt en de achtergrond van mijn kaart heb ik met een stencil, mini blender en distress inkt gemaakt.

Hello everyone! Today I want to share a card I made for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge. This is the fourth challenge and there are a couple of options to choose from.

Hallo allemaal! Vandaag wil ik een kaart delen die ik voor de Tic Tac Toe Challenge heb gemaakt. Dit is de vierde challenge die ze hebben en er zijn wat opties om uit te kiezen.

I decided to go for: silhouette, distress inks and stacked sentiment. I used the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps 'I am loved' stamp set to make the card, Distress inks (salty ocean, barn door, mustard seed), water, watercolour paper and a little bit Wink of Stella.

Ik heb voor het rijtje 'silhouette, distress inkt, gestapelde tekst' gekozen. Ik heb een stempelset van Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps gebruikt 'I am loved', Distress inkt (salty ocean, barn door, mustard seed), water, aquarelpapier en een beetje Wink of Stella.

I started with my watercolor panel and added the distress inks with a mini blender. I made them blend a little bit on the paper but to make the blending a little bit more playful I sprayed a little bit of water on top of it. I let the watcolor drie and I stamped my girl on it with Jet Black Archival ink. The watercolor paper has a lot of structure so I had to color in some details. I used my Faber Castell Pitt brush pen for that. After that I cut out a little hill from masking paper and used my black ink pad to color the bottom of the page (and again, I filled in the details with a brush pen). There's a lot of ink on the bottom so I smudged some of it on the left side of the hill. So I decided to make another small hill to cover that up ;).

Ik heb eerst de distress inkt op mijn aquarelpapier aangebracht met een mini blender. Hierna heb ik er wat water overheen gespoten om de kleuren nog wat beter te mengen. Ik heb de inkt laten drogen en het meisje gestempeld met jet black archival inkt. Door de structuur van het papier heb ik de afdruk nog wel wat bij moeten kleuren met een Faber Castell Pitt brush pen. Daarna heb ik een masker geknipt om de bovenkant af te dekken wanneer ik het zwart aanbracht. Ook voor de zwarte onderkant heb ik wat details in moeten tekenen met de pen. Er is veel inkt aan de onderkant dus ik had wat geknoeid op aan de linkerkant. Hier heb ik toen maar een extra heuveltje gemaakt om het weg te werken ;).

I diecut a circle out of my watercolored piece to get a stacked sentiment (I don't have any large word dies, so I decided to stack it this way). I stamped the sentiment and the little hearts (all from the same 'I am loved' stamp set) onto the paper and adhered it with some foamtape. I added a little bit of Wink of Stella on the hearts and the word 'praise'. 

Hierna heb ik een cirkel gestanst om de tekst op te stempelen (de tekst en de hartjes komen ook uit de stempelset). Ik heb de tekst daarna weer vastgeplakt met wat 3D tape. Om het af te maken heb ik de hartjes en de tekst 'praise' geaccentueerd met Wink of Stella.
