Sometimes there can be pretty hard times in life and you just don't know what to say to someone. For these times this message 'thoughts and prayers are with you' is just all you can say. It's a stamp from Dare 2b Artzy and I use it pretty much lately. I stamped the flowers with a flower builder stamp set from Wplus9 and I used a couple of different inks. I don't own a lot of colored inks so this is pretty much my complete color palette ;) (except for my distress inks).

Soms zijn er moeilijke tijden in het leven en weet je even niet wat je tegen iemand moet zeggen. In deze tijden is vaak de boodschap dat je aan iemand denkt en voor ze bidt eigenlijk alles wat je kunt doen. Ik heb een stempel gebruikt van Dare 2b Artzy voor de tekst, deze gebruik ik de laatste tijd redelijk veel. Ik heb de bloemen gestempeld met een set van Wplus9 en ik heb hiervoor wat verschillende kleuren inkt gebruikt. Ik heb niet zo heel veel gekleurde inkten dus dit is zo'n beetje mijn hele kleurenpalet ;) (op mijn distress inkten na).

When I saw the ‘let go and let God’ sticker from Illustrated Faith I immediately wanted to use it. Only… where would I use it? At fist I was thinking about a message with ‘be still’ in it. But eventually I decided to go for this message in Deuteronomy. It’s probably not the most obvious choice for it, but I really felt like it needed to be on this page ;).

Toen ik de sticker met 'Let go and let God' van Illustrated Faith zag wist ik meteen dat ik deze wilde gaan gebruiken. Alleen... waar zou ik het gebruiken? Ik dacht eerst aan één van de teksten met 'be still' erin. Maar uiteindelijk heb ik gekozen voor deze tekst in Deuteronomium. Het is misschien niet de meest voor de hand liggende keuze maar ik wilde hem toch op deze pagina gebruiken ;).

In this part God will deliver the enemies from Israel to them and in fact God says that they just need to trust Him, because He will be with them and He won’t leave them nor forsake them. I just felt that the people of Israel had to ‘let go and let God’ in this part. God would be with them and they shouldn’t be afraid but strong and courageous.

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. (Deut. 31:8)

In dit gedeelte zal God zijn volk verlossen van de vijanden en eigenlijk zegt God dat ze Hem gewoon moeten vertrouwen, want Hij zal met ze meegaan en ze nooit verlaten. Ik had een beetje het gevoel dat de mensen van Israël hier een soort 'laat het los en laat God zijn werk doen' situatie hadden. God zou met ze meegaan en zij hoefden alleen op Hem te vertrouwen en niet bang te zijn maar moedig de strijd tegemoet te gaan.

Wees niet bang, want de HERE zal voor u uitgaan en steeds bij u zijn.
Hij zal niet falen, noch u in de steek laten. (Deut. 31:8)

Today I want to share a couple of beach themed cards with you. I just love the beach and maybe even more the sea. Not that I like to swim in it ;). But more the look of it. The waves crashing on the seashore, the sound they make and the taste of salt water around the beach. It just gives you a special feeling. Eventhough I think I wouldn't like to get the salt from the air on my windows everyday haha.

Vandaag wil ik een paar kaarten met jullie delen die een strand thema hebben. Ik hou van het strand en vooral van de zee. Niet dat ik ervan houd om erin te zwemmen ;). Meer hoe hij eruit ziet. De golven die op het strand komen rollen, het geluid dat ze maken en de lichte smaak van zout die er rondhangt op het strand. Gewoon het gevoel, de sfeer die er is. Alhoewel ik er denk ik niet speciaal op zit te wachten dat het zout uit de lucht elke dag op mijn ramen slaat haha.
