Message of Hope - Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

I have some very exciting news to share! I'm one of the new designers for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! I can't believe it's true :). Sweet 'n Sassy stamps has a lot of beautiful stamps based on our faith, their slogan is 'sharing the love of Christ through paper crafting'. And that's exactly what I want to do.

My first stamp set is 'Message of Hope'. The set includes 5 images and 34 words and measures approximately 4" x 8". The word "forever" measures approximately 1 7/8" long and 1" high. I just received my own set and it looks beautiful, high quality clear stamps :). (can't wait to start creating with it! I know what I'll be doing this weekend ;)).

The design team from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps has made a couple of beautiful examples with this set that I want to share with you.

The first one is from Jane, she used several words from the set and the leaves image. (I love the watercolor background and the beautiful stone she made)

And the second one is from Julie. She made a beautiful background with another stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps and added the word 'Peace' frome the stamp set.

Challenge: watercolor

Just in time to do my last challenge at Winnie and Walter! Didn't manage to do them al :(, but at least I did a couple of them.

This time I did the watercolor challenge from Vanessa. I made two cards with the same watercolor piece I made so I'll just add both of the cards to this post. I watercolored my background with distress inks on watercolor paper. After it dried I used a die from My Favorite Things to cut out the frame. I also die cut a piece of white cardstock with the same die and I randomly added pieces of white and colored cardstock onto my card. This took me some time but I managed to make two backgrounds at the same time because I adhered all the pieces I took out of the white cardstock into the watercolor cardstock and vice versa.

For this first card I used another diecut piece of white cardstock to adhere on the top and bottom of my card (the dimension of the Dutch cards is a little bit different than the dies from MFT so I had to cover up some edges. I stamped the 'Thinking of you' sentiment (from Simon Says Stamp) and added some sequins to finish my card.

For my second card I used the other background I created with my dies. Here I added a piece of stamped white cardstock too but this time I only added it to the bottom (I adhered the background a bit higher onto my card). To give it a little more interest I added a small strip of glitter paper to the bottom of the card. No sequins this time ;).

Challenge: Gold

I have another challenge card to share today. And it was pretty hard to get a picture of it ;). The challenge from Lydia was to use gold on your project. The gold looks really pretty in real life but it's so hard to capture it in a photo! But here's my try :)

I used a tree stamp from Winnie and Walter and I stamped the leaves in green and after that I added some leaves with gold embossing powder (from WOW!). Well, some... almost all the leaves haha. I used a sentiment from Simon Says stamp and a gold metallic sheet behind my stamped image to finish my card.

Challenge: sketch

I've another card to share from World Card Making day. This time I did the sketch challenge from Gayatri at Winnie and Walter. I used the Pretty Peonies stamp set from Wplus9 to make the flowers and I used a stencil from MFT to create the background. For the sentiment I used a little piece of scrap cardstock and I stamped a text from Simon Says Stamp. To finish the card I used a couple of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

World Card Making Day 2015!

It's World Card Making Day today! And I love all the challenges that are online right now :). Today I did a couple of challenges from Winnie and Walter, but I didn't manage to get a lot of pictures before it got too dark... So I only have one card to share today, but there'll be more cards next week.

For this card I used the color challenge from Heather at Winnie and Walter. I started looking for some stamps and inks but I didn't have the right colors, and when I was looking for the stamps I found this beautiful owl picture. And... this were the right colors for the challenge! So instead of the stamps I choose this image for my card. I die cut a rectangle with a stitched die from MFT and adhered the owl on top. I stamped a birthday sentiment from Simon Says Stamp and used some colorful background paper and a little ribbon to finish my card. And don't forget the sequins and pearl drops ;).
