I love cute images, especially when there are animals involved ;). Do you know these Pinterest boards? On some of them you just get a huge cuteness overload, little fluffy baby animals, cute cats, sheeps and... birds. So these boards where my inspiration to use this bird couple from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

Ik ben weg van schattige plaatjes, vooral als er ook dieren in voorkomen ;). Ken je die Pinterest borden waar gewoon alleen maar schattige dingen op staan? Kleine konijntjes, schattige katten, schapen en... vogels. Deze pinterestborden waren mijn inspiratie om deze kaart met de vogeltjes te maken.

I diecut some pieces of watercolor paper (this stamp set has matching dies) and stamped my images on it. I colored them with DoCrafts watercolor brushes. When my images where drying I searched for a couple of matching cute background papers. I diecut a window out of the paper so I could make a window for my shaker card. I picked out some blue and grey sequins and adhered everything together.

Ik heb eerst mijn waterverf papier gestanst (deze stempelset heeft bijpassende stanzen) en ik heb mijn afbeeldingen erop gestempeld. De plaatjes heb ik ingekleurd met DoCrafts waterverf markers. Toen mijn plaatjes aan het drogen waren heb ik bijpassend achtergrondpapier uitgezocht en een vlak uitgesneden voor mijn shaker-gedeelte. Ik heb wat blauwe en grijze sequins uitgezocht en alles op de kaart vastgemaakt.

Sometimes there are things that you want to have in your life, pretty badly. But some moments it doesn’t look like it will happen soon. Or maybe never at all, but hey, sometimes you just have to keep dreaming ;).

But what if life doesn’t give you what you want. Do we still praise God in the storms? Or do we blame Him for everything that’s happening? Do we still believe He is able to do miracles?

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego faced real challenges, way bigger than mine (and that’s one thing (of many things) to praise God for ;)), but they still trusted God. They stood before Nebuchadnezzar and said that God would be able to save them. But… they didn’t stop there. They added another sentence: ‘But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.’ (Daniel 3:17-18)

But even if He does not, if He chooses another path. Even then… God doesn't change, He is still good.

Er zijn van die dingen die je graag wilt zien gebeuren in het leven. En soms lijkt het er niet op dat dat ooit zo zal zijn (maar blijven dromen mag toch ;)).

Maar wat dan als het leven niet is zoals je het graag zou zien? Willen we God dan nog aanbidden? Of geven we Hem de schuld van alles wat er gebeurt? Geloven we nog dat Hij wonderen kan doen?

Sadrach, Mesach en Abednego kwamen voor echte uitdagingen te staan, véél groter dan die van mij (en dat is één van de (vele) dingen waar ik God voor mag danken ;)), maar zij bleven vertrouwen op God. Ze stonden voor Nebukadnezar en zeiden dat ze geloofden dat God hen zou kunnen redden. Maar... daar stopten ze niet. Ze zeiden er nog iets achteraan: 'Maar ook als Hij dat niet doet, kunt u er zeker van zijn dat wij uw goden niet zullen vereren en uw gouden beeld niet zullen aanbidden!' (Daniel 3:17-18)

Maar zelfs als Hij het niet doet, als Hij een ander pad kiest. Ook dan... verandert God niet, Hij is nog steeds goed.

Je kunt deze afbeelding downloaden als en uitprinten als een 'herinnering' aan de tekst. Als je de PDF download krijg je een pagina van 11x8,5 inch met drie verschillende afmetingen van het plaatje. Je kunt de PDF gewoon printen op A4 papier (dat is nog iets groter dan de inch formaten). Wanneer je het vinkje 'schalen naar paginaformaat' bij het printen uitzet dan krijg je de exacte afmetingen die onder het plaatje staan (ook in inch), anders worden ze ietsje groter. Je kunt ook de JPG downloaden en die uitprinten. Deze JPG en PDF zijn alleen voor persoonlijk gebruik, wil je ze ergens anders voor gebruiken neem dan even contact op.

I couldn't get enough of the cute critters stamp set and made another card. I loved how the turtle card looked so I decided to do something similar with the scraps I had left over from that card.

I stamped the image on watercolor paper and colored it with watercolor markers. After that I masked the image and added a watercolor background with Gansai Tambi watercolors. When the image dried I diecut it with a circle die. The oter diecut circles are pieces that I still had from the turtle card so I just had to find a new background paper and adhere everything on my card :). I added a couple of yellow sequins to give it a little bit more interest.
