I made two cards with the Hymn Word Art stamp set. These cards are pretty quick to make and the stamps are really the main focus of the cards.

I stamped the messages on blank paper and embossed them with embossing powder. For this first card I used white embossing powder and added Distress Oxide ink to add color to the background. I wanted to add a border with orange patterned paper around the stamped image but it turned out that I didn't have any orange patterned papers... So I made my own 'orange' paper with the Distress Oxide ink. I finished the card with a couple of pearl drops and enamel dots.

I used a dark sparkling embossing powder for the second card. I added a bit of embossing powder to the edge of the panel too. I used patterned paper with flowers and a couple of matching floral stickers to give the card a bit more interest. And of course a couple of enamel dots to finish the card.

I used the stamp set Hymn Word Art.

I made a card with Peony Clusters; the stamp set of this month. The big peony cluster is so beautiful that you can easily use it as the focal point of your card. You don't have to add a lot to make a beautiful card. For this card I colored the image with alcohol markers and cut out the panel. I added the cute 'with love' sentiment, a red ribbon and some sequins to finish the card.

It isn't a difficult card to make, but I made a video for it too. It just involves a lot of coloring ;). But I didn't use a lot of colors so it didn't take too long to color the peonies.

I made a card with the stamp set of the month 'Happy Day' and the stamp for a cause 'Surrounded in Prayer'. I stamped a background on my card with grey ink and stamps from Happy Day and a little text message from Surrounded in Prayer. After that I stamped a couple of the flowers on scrap paper and colored them with watercolor markers.

I stamped a message from Surrounded in Prayer on a die cut circle and added a little red border to the circle with my marker. After that I arranged the flowers around the circle and adhered everything on my card. I felt like something was missing so I added a couple of pieces of washi tape and sequins to finish the card.

Happy Day!

Hallo allemaal!

Hello everyone! Today I want to show you a card I made with the Happy Day stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I think this is a great stamp set for one layer cards with the larger words and flowers that are in the stamp set.

happy day lucilight

For this card I stamped the images on cardstock with black ink. After that I colored the flowers and leaves with watercolor markers and a waterbrush. I added a couple of watercolor drops with the waterbrush to create a background with a bit more color. I used a couple of sequins to give the card a bit more sparkle and that's all for this card.

This card is pretty quick to make and you could even add the stamps on a stamping tool and stamp a bunch of cards, color them and create a couple of cards really fast.

Full Bloom Collectables

I already showed you a card with the Full Bloom Collectables from Kaisercraft last week and today I want to add two more cards to that serie. You have a lot of pre-printed images with the collectables and they are great to make a quick page in your bible or a quick card.

thankful lucilight

The easy thing with the collectables is that you start with a nice color scheme. So I just had to pick out some matching papers. I found them in the Faith Collection from Simple Stories again. I think these series are made for each other ;).

I used a doily in the background for both cards. This gives you a nice focal point to start arranging your elements on.

I added a couple of enamel dots, pearl drops and small elements to bring it all together.
